Born on January 7, 1988, in Martinique, in the city of Lamentin, Aude VOLNY-ANNE, known by her stage name Noona Bae Moon, is a singer, songwriter, and composer.

The imprint of Russia permeates her musical universe, imbued with melancholy and depth. Her compositions draw from her experiences, sorrows, and pains, as well as a profound search for meaning, oscillating between prayer and introspection, between shadow and light, contrasting with the warmth of the Caribbean where she grew up. Her music, infused with mystery and spiritual elevation, carries an initiatory and symbolic dimension that transcends mere notes. The pristine beauty of the Kuril Islands, where the rhythm of the waves merges with the silence of untouched landscapes, resonates within her work. The clarity of a child's high voice echoing in a church, the raw purity of unfiltered sounds, and the deep harmonics of voices intertwined with nature shape her sonic identity. Every language she sings becomes an echo of this inner quest, a bridge between the tangible and the intangible, where sound and silence converse in a timeless dialogue.

From the age of four, she developed a passion for music, dance, and literature. Gifted with a natural talent for dance, she excels in performances imbued with melancholy and suspended notes, where time itself seems to hesitate. Each movement carries a sense of longing and depth, echoing the latent sorrow and introspection that define her artistic essence. She finds expression both in lyrical and emotional choreography, as well as in minimalist and contemplative musical environments. She also practices traditional Caribbean dances, which nourish her artistic and physical expression. That same year, she began playing the piano, an instrument that still accompanies her today and plays a central role in her musical creation process.

 

Although deeply attached to Martinique, her art reflects a cold and introspective atmosphere, influenced by the melancholic grandeur of Russian landscapes and the pristine, silent beauty of the Kuril Islands. The vast, untouched shores of these islands, where the waves whisper their eternal rhythm against the cliffs, evoke an immense sense of solitude and contemplation. The wind's song, merging with the echoes of the sea, nourishes her imagination and reinforces her connection to raw, unaltered nature. She is fascinated by Vladivostok and Rostov-on-Don, two cities that embody both the raw power and poetic essence of Russian lands. Vladivostok, with its cliffs overlooking the ocean and its morning mist, evokes infinity and the unattainable, while Rostov-on-Don carries the breath of the steppes and the soul of great journeys. These places resonate within her as fragments of an artistic and existential quest, where the magnificence of the World intertwines with an inner voice seeking to ascend. The works of Tolstoy, Debussy, and Tchaikovsky, with their depth and emotional intensity, also leave a lasting mark on her musical universe.

After living in the beauty of Bracknell's county parks, the Slavic streets of Sofia, and Seine-et-Marne in a cosmopolitan environment rich in cultural diversity—shaped by the presence of international communities and the dynamic atmosphere surrounding its connection to global travel—she later moved to Normandy before fully dedicating herself to her artistic career. Her experiences as a flight attendant broadened her perception of space, movement, and cultural fusion, leaving a lasting impression on her creative vision. A polyglot, she sings and writes in French, English, Creole, Russian (русский), Hebrew, Ukrainian, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, and Spanish, with each language becoming a reflection of her art—a vibration that transcends borders and reaches a deeper essence, where the visible and the invisible meet in a central point of harmony.

Her work unfolds as a perpetual quest, deeply rooted in the symbolism of Aleph (א)—the primordial breath, the silent origin from which all expression is born.
